John's
Top Tip
for
singers:
Before you start to sing, you need to start breathing properly from the
diaphragm. Begin with simple exercises such as hissing. Breathe in
deeply and then make a vigorous hissing sound until you've expelled as
much air as possible from your lungs. Feel your diaphragm muscle working
hard all around your lower abdomen - front, back and sides. Repeat
this several times.
Make sure your shoulders don't move up and down as you breathe in.
